Amy Louise Markham If anyone has found any horses I can help identify them if they are branded. I have TB studbook access and know my way quite well (it's my 'thing') in the riding pony, welsh and standardbred, can also help in arab studbook. Can also manually look through the quarterhorse registry. Just send me brands and a brief description (colour, sex, markings).

Hey,
I live in New South Wales, Gosford – But if anyone is desperately needing somewhere for their pets to stay (and would feel safer if their pets were out of the state till the floods are over), or if rescuers need a temporary home for any found animals. Feel free to contact me ! I cannot take care of any horses or animals of that size though, sorry but my house is too small for them. Dogs, Cats, Birds, Rabbits, Guinea Pigs, Mice, and even fish are all welcome !
Regards,
Emma (Click Here to Email)

I'm a veterinarian in Sydney and I will be travelling to Brisbane this Sunday for a few days. I'm not registered to work in QLD but I definitely can do vet nursing or animal first aid. Is there a location, shelter or something that you would be able to direct me to that needs help?
Thank you for everything you are doing for the flood victims Alison Diskin (click here to email)

I live in Murwillumbah which is about 130 km south of Brisbane.
I am secretary for Friends of the Pound Tweed Inc. Unfortunately most of our animal foster carers are still at full capacity in the wake of kitten season.
However, I have an unoccupied Catnip cage in my garage in which I could accommodate one cat or perhaps two if they get on with each other.
We also have volunteers who offer us assistance with animal transport. We may be able to utilise some of those volunteers to transport animals affected by the floods.
My phone number is 02 6672 1916.
Good luck

Hi there
Just wanted to offer my assistance if any of the flood affected pet owners require temporary accommodation for a small to medium sized dog or two (if they are in the same family / already known to each other). Prefer dog/s who are not excessive barkers as we do live in a typical suburban street.
We are located at Cabarita Beach (20 mins south of the Gold Coast) and have a fully fenced yard. It would need to be an OUTDOOR dog as we already have our own two indoor cats. Plenty of lawn and yard with shady and sunny spots for your dog/s to choose from. Bedding, food etc would be placed on our large covered patio so your dog is not stuck out in the weather (in the heat or rain).
I work from home and am generally here most days so the dog will always have company. Daily walks and lots of cuddles guaranteed.
If you are flood affected and are unable to accommodate your pet during clean-up and rebuilding because of the floods, then we will be happy to accommodate him/her temporarily. Can collect from Bris area from Monday if you don’t have transport.
PS. We’re very partial to babysitting CAVALIER KING CHARLES who require a temporary home, but happy to help anyone who needs a temporary home.
The pound should not be considered a viable option.
Kind Regards

Hi there,
We live at the Sunshine Coast and have a decent sized, well fenced back yard as have a dog of our own (very friendly rotti cross female). We would be more than happy to offer a foster home to a dog in need after the floods - any size/sex/age just needs to be ok with other dogs and cats as we have two indoor only cats. We allow our dog inside and would do the same for any dog that came to stay. I can pick up from the Brisbane area.
Please email if I can help - I check emails frequently so will respond quickly!
Cheers

Hi I live near Kingaroy & would like to help with displaced animals from the flooods. I have 8 acres set up for horses & I still have 3 miniature horses after having both Arabian & Miniature studs in the last 30yrs. I have had dogs all my life & currently own 2 small ones. I've also owned a couple of cats, guinea pigs, etc. & I have birds (Cockatiels & Conures) as well. I have extensive knowledge in caring for animals, sick & injured & also love our wildlife. Whilst not in a position to take on anymore horses permanently I may be able to assist temporarily. If I can help please either ring me on 4163 5028 or email me. Regards Sandra (click here to email)
